Was the personal information compiled solely for the purpose of evaluating the individual’s research projects or materials for publication? Compiled means that the information was drawn from several sources or extracted, extrapolated, calculated or in some other way manipulated.934 The personal information must have been compiled solely for the purpose of evaluating the individual’s research projects or materials for publication to qualify. Evaluate means to form an idea of the amount, number, or value of, to assess.935 Research is defined as a systematic investigation designed to develop or establish principles, facts or generalized knowledge, or any combination of them, and includes the development, testing and evaluation of research.936 3. Was the personal information provided explicitly or implicitly in confidence? In confidence usually describes a situation of mutual trust in which private matters are relayed or reported.
